Imagine your incestuous OTP

azdaema:

  • Little toddler A proclaiming they would marry B. (Bonus: When did they stop saying it? When did they stop thinking it?)
  • Childhood bedsharing.
  • Their grandmother shipping them.
  • During their courtship, imagine the last time A said “I love you,” to B, and B didn’t think anything of it, or read anything into it.
  • A constantly teasing B over that stupid thing B did as a child.

My OCs are my OTPs. My non-incestuous OTP will always be Lelouch/CC from Code Geass. But my OCs will always be first in my heart. ^_^

These are some of my fav qualities in an OTP, incestuous or not:

*Evil guy/good girl (where the concept of “evil” is challenged in the story – in a play on ‘unconventional’ vs ‘evil’).

*Guy being something of a jerk to other people and the girl not standing for his shit, thereby confusing him… and making him want to try to be…nice?

*Monogamous to the core (I don’t have an issue with polyamory but my personal OTPs are monogamous, as it is what I identify with)

*Goddamn, I wish my OTPs grandmother shipped them.. lol But I haven’t thought about what she feels just yet… that’s an interesting possibility.

*They’d plan carefully if they decide to become parents (they’d make sure their risk is low before going for it… in the event that it’s higher than would be justifiable, they’d consider adoption). But their love wouldn’t hang on whether or not they can have kids.

*Something child-like and sweet in the way they interact, where even the rivalry and arguments are cute/funny.

*They would never let each other go no matter how much stigma or opposition they may face… they’d ALWAYS pick each other over opposition.

Results for~Fiction Writers’ poll (on Original Character Consensual Incest)

This poll was run on tumblr between June 1 to the end of July 2018 (2 months)

This poll was for any kind of original fictional incest pair. The votes would’ve been from different kinds of writers with their own specific interest areas.

The common theme: we’re all people who want to write, are currently working on, or planning to write at least one pair of Original Consensual Incestuous Characters in our own fiction.

Some of the comments were very personal… thank you for your openness and honesty. ❤ You people are absolutely awesome.

We all have our own visions and reasons for writing. This only means we will each have something unique to bring to this topic. One thing we all have in common is…a genuine interest in ‘taboo’ subjects/themes. If anything, hopefully this shows you you’re not alone in writing or wanting to explore these kind of topics/characters. Best of luck to ALL of you.

All your comments were amazing.

❤   A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TOOK THE POLL !!  ❤

Poll Results for: Sense of Belonging (LGBTQ+) poll

This poll was run on tumblr between June 1 to the end of July 2018 (2 months)

As you can see, the results show that not everyone feels they fit into the queer community. As someone pointed out in the comments, it’s very hard to define “fitting in” because it really depends on what the queer community is like where you live, and how involved you are in it. It was just about how you personally feel, how comfortable you feel in the community.

If there is even ONE person who doesn’t feel they fit in due to judgement, it should be something that leaders of the community think about, asking WHY and what can be done to make things more inclusive, instead of being passive about it.

(to those who wrote comments 1, 2 and 3: I know so much what you’re talking about.)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all those who participated in this poll!! Thank you also to those who left comments!!

Same sex cousin marriage

FME wrote a blog post recently about same sex cousin marriage:

http://marriage-equality.blogspot.com/2015/07/same-gender-marriage-and.html

I’ve been hoping to find some info on this kind of overlapping identity. So, check out the above post if you were looking for some commentary on that topic.

image

Please watch in 480p, small screen. Unfortunately, these were the best clips I had at my disposal, so they won’t show up that clear if you make the screen large.

I made this for the same purpose as the first reference video Here.

If I were to pick a song that conveys the feelings of my characters’s girlfriend, it would be ‘The Call’ by Regina Spektor. There’s something about it that matches the general idea I have of the storyline I’d like to write for my OCs (involving war and separation, being on opposite sides but always finding their way back to each other). This song is also good to show the initial inner doubts of a ‘taboo’ relationship.

The girl in this show doesn’t really look like my OCs girlfriend, but since she is the one that interacts with the dude the most, I made the video using clips of them together.

Their interactions and mannerisms (in a surface sense) resembles my OC and his love… it’s the closest I could find for that dynamic (“good girl/evil guy”), which is why I called it ‘character reference video’.

The characters in the actual show these clips are from are Jonathan/Clary. They are a non-canon ship. This video doesn’t follow the chronology of the show, so it won’t reflect Jonathan/Clary’s actual storyline, but rather something I made up. But if you want to see it from the perspective of that existing ship, enjoy. ❤

Thanks

Marriage laws questions

image

Since a few people have been asking about laws lately, I thought it would be a good idea to just make a sort of prompt.

Although the main focus here is not laws, those kinds of questions are definitely connected to all else discussed. There are all kinds of sources out there that give bits and pieces of information, but I’m not sure if there is one authoritative source with all the information, especially when it comes to alternative marriages.

Often there is much misinformation mixed in with facts. It’s the kind of thing that would require a careful study. It would make for a great school project if someone would take it on. (Not just looking at North American laws, but laws all around the world.)

No matter what kind of marriage laws you are trying to find out about, the most reliable sources would be government websites that are specific to the country or state you are looking up, human rights organizations, and the actual written codes that show what is legal and what is not.

Sometimes this process also requires reading between the lines and interpreting the words based on what is said and what is left unsaid.

So, if someone were to take on that kind of project, here are some questions they might possibly want to cover:

…What kind of marriages are allowed?

…What does the criminal code of that country or state say? Is it possible for someone to live with a certain partner without being prosecuted, even if they cannot legally marry?

…What happens when people travel/relocate from a place where their marriage is legal to a place where it is illegal or criminalized?

…What happens if a transgender person gets married while passing as cis, then gets outed in a place where gay marriage happens to be illegal?

…If two people whose love is banned have a child together, will they be forced to give up that child?

Also, laws change. Nothing stays the same over time. One can only hope that those changes are generally progressive…

So, as you can see… there are a number of questions that people don’t often ask that are hard to answer. This is in part why it needs to be a big project. If someone takes on this task, they should try to use the most up-to-date, reliable sources and be prepared to back up their findings with those sources instead of just going by guess work.
